This series of images are collaborations with time, tide, wind, and chance—records of transient worlds that appear, vanish, and reappear in an endless cycle of creation and dissolution.

Working with what is essentially a monochromatic palette, I distill these granular sections of a specific beach on Martha's Vineyard into black-and-white photographs. Stripped of distraction, the images invite contemplation of their quiet poetry and stark beauty. They remind me that nature is in constant flux, creating moments of extraordinary complexity and wonder that exist only briefly before being reclaimed by the sea.

We also become aware that climate change continues to alter the shape of our coastlines, creating opportunity to witness the intrinsic beauty as well as the erosion and destruction of our natural habitats.
